Leading Procedures in Brain and Spine Surgery
ABSI provides a wide range of procedures designed to minimize disruption and maximize results. Our specialists are trained in the most advanced neurosurgical methods available today – including laser-assisted, image-guided, and minimally invasive techniques.
We are proud to offer procedures that not only relieve pain and improve function but also support faster healing and shorter hospital stays. Every treatment is chosen based on your individual condition, goals, and lifestyle needs.
Open Brain Surgery and Procedures
We perform advanced brain surgery using techniques that minimize or completely avoid cutting hair. Utilizing high-definition microscopic surgery and neuronavigation, we treat a range of brain disorders effectively and with precision.
- Minimal or no hair removal
- High-definition microscopic technology
- Neuronavigation-assisted precision
- Treats tumors, vascular conditions, hydrocephalus, and more
Endoscopic Brain Surgery & Procedures
Endoscopic brain surgery involves a small scalp incision and a scope with a camera. Surgeons operate using specialized instruments inserted through the scope, offering a minimally invasive option for select brain conditions.
- Small incision
- Camera-guided precision
- Minimally invasive
- Shorter recovery time
Spinal Steroid Injections
Various injection procedures that include delivering medications or preforming ablation in the spine, such as Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) using small needles are very minimally invasive office-based procedures that have high efficacy in alleviating pain and reducing inflammation, or ablating tiny nerves in the spinal joints responsible for neck or back pain. In many cases, these procedures help to avoid surgery, and help achieve lasting pain relief.
- No surgical wound
- Immediate effect after the procedure
- No pain or discomfort during the procedure
- Return to work or previous activities immediately after the procedure
Stem Cell Assisted Spinal Fusion
We are pioneers in using adult stem cells to enhance spinal fusion. Harvested from the patient’s own body, these cells promote higher success rates compared to traditional synthetic compounds and reduce long-term side effects.
- Utilizes patient’s own stem cells
- Higher fusion success rate
- Reduces risk of synthetic side effects
- State-of-the-art biotechnology
Cervical & Lumbar Laminectomy and Foraminotomy
These procedures address issues like facet disease, disc herniation, and pinched nerves in the cervical and lumbar spine. By removing small portions of bone or disc, we relieve nerve pressure and restore function.
- Relieves nerve compression
- Treats spinal stenosis
- Effective for neck and lower back pain
- Outpatient possibilities in select cases
Stem Cell Injections
Autogenous Stem cells (stem cells harvested from your own body) have tremendous regenerative properties and can help regenerate certain soft tissue structures, such as tendons, ligaments, and joints. These stem cells are harvested from your own body using a small, non-painful procedure in the office, in the same setting as the target injection. The stem cells are then separated using a special machine in a short period of time, then prepared into an injectable form, and can be re-injected into the affected areas.
- No surgical wound
- Use your own body stem cells
- No pain or discomfort during the procedure
- Return to work or previous activities immediately after the procedure
Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) & Fusion Stabilization
We combine minimally invasive techniques with advanced technology to perform spinal procedures through small incisions. These methods reduce recovery time and post-surgical discomfort while maintaining surgical effectiveness.
- Small incisions
- Faster recovery and less pain
- Advanced instruments and imaging
- Includes spinal fusion and stabilization
Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Fusion
This is a procedure where the Sacroiliac Joint is fused using Transarticular Implants (implants that cross the joint space at multiple sites). This is a procedure with a high success rate in alleviating chronic SI pain in the lateral back and buttock areas.
- Minimally Invasive surgery
- Less muscle and bone disruption
- Preserves the important SI ligaments
- Same Day or Overnight Hospital stay
- Fast recovery times
Cervical Anterior and Posterior Fusion
This includes a variety of fusion techniques to stabilize the spine in cases of disc disease, vertebral slips, and fractures. Both front (anterior) and back (posterior) approaches are used depending on the case.
- Stabilizes unstable spine
- Treats vertebral slips and fractures
- Custom approach (anterior/posterior)
- Enhances spinal alignment and function
Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) with Novalis and Gamma Knife
SRS offers non-invasive, single-session treatments using focused radiation to target brain tumors and other conditions. Performed without incisions, this outpatient procedure delivers precision with minimal side effects.
- Completely non-invasive
- No surgical incision required
- Outpatient and painless
- Highly targeted radiation minimizes side effects
Kyphoplasty and Vertebroplasty
Outpatient procedures for spinal fractures, these involve injecting a cement-like material into the vertebral body through a tiny incision. They are highly effective for reducing pain and restoring stability.
- Minimally invasive
- Pain relief from spinal fractures
- Live x-ray guidance
- Rapid recovery
Carpal Tunnel and Peripheral Nerve Release
We perform precise nerve release procedures for conditions like carpal tunnel and ulnar neuropathy. These outpatient treatments relieve nerve compression and restore normal function.
- Treats wrist and elbow nerve compression
- Outpatient procedure
- Quick symptom relief
- Improved hand and arm function
Oblique Lumbar Interbody Fusion (OLIF)
OLIF accesses the disc space at an angle, reducing the need for bone removal and avoiding direct midline muscle manipulation. This technique improves recovery and maintains spinal stability.
- Oblique (angled) surgical access
- Less muscle and bone disruption
- Faster recovery times
- Preserves spinal integrity
Lateral, Extreme, and Direct Lumbar Interbody Fusion (LLIF/XLIF/DLIF)
These lateral access fusion techniques allow surgeons to reach the spine through the side of the abdomen and back. Ideal for mid-lumbar conditions, they reduce the need for major bone removal.
- Side-entry minimizes disruption
- Ideal for mid-lumbar issues
- Reduces bone removal
- Preserves muscle structure
